1971 Chein, "Laugh-In" Lithographed Tin Trash Can
Unusual lithographed tinplate trash can featuring the hit NBC-TV series which ran from 1968-73. Manufactured by Chein with embossed logo. Includes lithoed photos of Judy Carne, Ruth Buzzi, Goldi Hawn, Dan Rowan, Dick Martin, Arte Johnson ("veddy interesting") and others surrounded by a pure 60's pop art design. Appears never used. The Chein logo was modified in 1971 to include "Made in U.S.A.". So although the copyright date along the bottom edge of the can is 1968, the actual year of manufacture was three years later. The copyright date indicates the year "Laugh-In" was copyrighted. Size: 13" x 11" x 6½". Sold: Nov. 2005
